We could so win Amazing Race!!!

Florence has turned out to be a fun town but a little on the slower pace. We could have easily spent far less time here. I think we've walked the city 5 times. Today we were supposed to go on a tour horseback riding and wine tasting and we got stood up. It's been a big bummer but we've gotten all our laundry done and planned the final leg of this trip which is to Rome. We leave tomorrow and we are excited to be back on the fast track. We've realized the slow pace just doesn't cut it for us. Especially this late in the trip. Next time we will try to fit in a few more countries. Anyway, we are off to go see the only movie that is english it's called Che. (sounds liberal). Jonathan is praying to the food God's that they will have popcorn. Otherwise it might be a bad night for him. I'm hoping just to get through the movie. So long for now.......We will write in Rome.

S O S...Please send mexican food !!!

Hello All:

Sorry for the last blog, i was a little tired so i let the beautiful misses write on it last time (trust me, until i put my two-cents into it, it was even more boring). So, where do I start? We arrived in Pisa on wednesday night, and once again, thanks to the my chincy wife, found ourselves walking 5 miles to our hotel, just to avoid taking a 5 dollar taxi (fortunatley for me, the gods have avenged her for this with a nasty blister between two of her toes(too much toe jam). RUSS YOUR FEET! (if you get my drift)). Pisa was great. Its two streets about a mile long with a leaning tower at the end (my kind of town). There were boutiques everywhere and the people, for the most part, spoke english. Most of all, we were excited about finding pizza and other italian favorites. However, on a more grism note, pizza three meals a day, three days in a row is getting a little old, so for the last hour or so, gayle and i have scoured the cinque terre for anything resembling mexican food or with beef. On that note, we arrived in the cinque terre yesterday afternoon by train. Although we were a little nervous at first, we were surprised with the best possible hotel in the best possible location. We got a ocean front balcony room that is literally 50 feet away from the water. The hotel is super clean and the climate, most of all is warm enough to thaw out gayle(about 80 degrees with clear skies). The cinque terre is an amazing place to visit. It is situated along the coast. There are 5 towns within site of eachother and connected by rail and a walking path. So this morning we took one of the routes by foot, thinking it was a 30 min walk. To our surprise, it was a two hour walk through a mountain range. Regardless, we had alot of fun, but we should of brought water. So family, get ready and start looking at your calenders for 2011, because were all coming back here (yes george even you would love the cinque terre). Well, tomorrow we leave for florence(the napa valley of italy) and we are excited. Wine is so cheap and good here. It is about 4-6 dollars for a wine bottle, it is 1.50 for a glass! Last, when gayle and i get back, we are eating mexican food only for the first two weeks, so you can find us at felipes (and maybe in and out), so see you there.

Becoming Gypsies (sp?)

Arrived in Paris late last night, our directions to our hotel were wrong. We had to walk through the equivalent of Detroit just to find it. I'm pretty sure it took close to two hours to finally get there. We got up early this morning and have already seen so much of the city. Our favorites include: The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Beside the flogging we are having tons of fun and wish we had a few more days. Still the only thing we miss is Bada sorry family (of course we are thrilled to have just found out we will have a new niece in the family.)

Yodelaheehoo

Dear all,

I know you are probably wondering why you're favorite blog has not been posting anything? Well, we have run into a few problems finding Internet service as well as a little short on time. Well, after walking the rest of my already flat butty off, we checked out of London and made our way to the south west town of Christ Church/Bournemouth. Situated on the coast, we walked in and out of the rain while visiting the ruins of ancient churches and toured the coast line where we saw tiny cottage like fishing villages. Unfortunately for me, Gayle and Deb have long legs and i have often felt like a midget walking through quick sand trying to keep up. Still we are having a good time and seeing all sorts of things. From Debs house, we headed up to the Lake district to meet other friends, Hillary and Paul, who have been very welcoming. Paul and i have been in trouble more than once for our heated political debates(fortunately we are on the same side of the isle). Well i know this has been a little more less funny but the next blog will, and i promise, be full of jokes and even more excitement(after all, we are going to France, they are all ready goofy enough)

bon joir,
